A halal investment education platform that takes Muslims from zero investing knowledge to their first Shariah-compliant investment — in one app.
The halal investing space has a trust problem. Many Muslims who want to invest either don't know where to start, don't know what's permissible, or don't trust the platforms available to them. The knowledge and the execution have always been separate — you learn in one place, invest in another, and hope you're doing it right.
Mali Invest was built to close that gap. Structured learning modules teach users how to screen stocks, understand Islamic finance principles, and build a compliant portfolio from scratch. Partner recommendations then give them a direct path to act on what they've learned — without leaving the app.
Built from idea to launch in under four months, Mali Invest went live in November 2025 and crossed 600 registered users within months — with over 100 on the waitlist before the first release.
"People don't just need information — they need confidence. And most platforms don't bridge that gap."
The core challenge wasn't just building a learning app. It was designing a system that could guide users through a sensitive and high-stakes journey: users were unsure what "halal investing" actually meant in practice; financial decisions carried emotional and religious weight; partner onboarding introduced friction that could easily break the flow.
Even when users were interested, many dropped off before completing onboarding or taking their first action. Solving for that handoff — from education into execution — remains the central product challenge.
Instead of overwhelming users with options, the app walks them step-by-step through understanding, preparing, and taking their first investment action — reducing cognitive load and hesitation at every stage of the journey.
Learning is embedded directly into the product experience. Users don't just read — they immediately apply what they learn through structured next steps that move them closer to execution.
In-app partner routing that moves users from education to execution without switching platforms. Connects to compliant partners so users can act on what they've learned the moment they're ready.
In App Payments, purchase flows, and revenue tracking — all handled natively, monetising both course access and coaching bookings activity.
Onboarding was treated as a living system. Based on user behaviour and drop-off points, flows were continuously adjusted to reduce friction and improve completion rates over time.
By combining education, structure, and execution in one place, Mali Invest allows users to move from uncertainty to action without ever leaving the ecosystem.
